FAQ

Common questions

How do I calculate lot size in forex?

Divide the amount you are willing to lose by your stop loss distance in pips times the pip value per lot. The position size calculator does this for you once you pick the pair and enter your entry and stop prices.

What win rate do I need to be profitable?

It depends on your risk:reward. The break-even win rate is 1 ÷ (1 + RR): 50% at 1:1, 33.3% at 1:2 and 25% at 1:3. Use the Edge Map to see your exact numbers.

What is a pip on gold (XAU/USD)?

On these tools one gold pip is a $0.10 price move. With the common 100 oz contract, one pip on 1 lot is worth $10. Some platforms call $0.01 a point, so always check your broker's contract specification.

Are these calculators free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use with no account needed.
